In Tideswell, which is only 2.5 miles, there is a Co-op, a good green-grocery, butcher and Tindalls a great baker-cum-deli. There are two fish and chips shops and three public houses.  The NatWest bank here is open Mon-Fri and has a cash point.  Ashford-in-the-Water is just 3 miles away.  This picturesque village is a must to visit and also has a lovely deli and tea room.

The nearest town with supermarket, shopping and Farmers market is Bakewell (on the A6), 5 miles from the cottage through Ashford- in- the- Water.  Monday hosts the excellent and popular outdoor Market.

Tideswell has everything you need on a day-to-day basis.  You can buy before you arrive and have it delivered to your holiday cottage door using Tideswell’s new Shop in Tideswell service http://shopintideswell.co.uk/ – supporting village shops. Alternatively, you can order your groceries online with Tesco and Morrison’s and have your groceries delivered to the door for your arrival.

There is a Waitrose in Buxton and a great pet shop, near to Springs Shopping centre.
